Context
World Bank supports programs for social protection and human development. The focus of the hybrid event “Togo Safety Nets Clinic” was on the African country which, given its conditions, has the opportunity to become a potential model of innovation for the entire continent. The objective was to highlight global trends and challenges in the intervention sector, as well as key considerations regarding design, financial management, and the effectiveness of its use, in order to initiate a concrete plan for social protection with a focus on the poorest communities and best practices for the future of the younger generations.

Process
We followed the Togo Safety Nets Clinic remotely, with some participants and speakers connected online and others gathered in person: in Lomé, Togo, where notable government and technical figures participated, and in Washington DC, where the World Bank staff was present.

Solution
We provided live scribing for a multitude of voices and topics, and then translated it into French to ensure all participants had a complete understanding at a later time.
