A playground good for the eyes

Context
We proposed to the Armandi Avogli School and the Saragozza District, in Bologna, to rethink and customize the basketball playground in the courtyard of the institute, which welcomes children at the entrance, at the exit and also during breaks.

Process
We designed a creative workshop with each class of the school and involved children aged from 6 to 10 years, in a participatory and collaborative environment and in small groups. From the final 28 designs proposed for the decoration of the playground, we created a synthesis of the main themes and messages to create an overall project.

Solution
We made the playground painting ourselves, with the colors and graphics that children had imagined together. We used special paints which guarantee the safety of children and durability over time.
