What’s Next
11 October 2024
This week we took part in “What’s Next: let’s design the future of the Industry”, the event organized by LCA Studio Legale, where more than 300 participants discussed in thematic tables. The discussions were intense and full of ideas, and offered a fresh and tangible perspective at the future that awaits us. We picked 3 key words from each table, which we summarized in a colorful visual map: a story narrated by images, representing shared ideas!

Tavola della signoria
3 July 2024
A unique opportunity to come together, with two gala dinners designed down to the smallest detail for an important luxury watch brand in the south of France. We created 100 place cards and just as many hand-calligraphed menus, with two different styles depending on the theme of the evening. Calligraphy is an ancient art that regains its centrality in occasions where care and love for details are paramount.
Managing nature
2 April 2024
We are supporting Madreselva, a cooperative that deals with excursions, environmental education, and the management of a refuge in the Bolognese Apennines, on a journey of change and evolution to design its future. We are happy to be part of this journey that directly touches our territory and a reality with deep values and skills.
E-governance
25 March 2024
How can we make e-governance more inclusive?
As Africa undergoes the digital transformation, specifically in public services, governments must take steps to ensure that all citizens have access to services. We collaborated with INCLUDE Knowledge Platform on this video which outlines actionable solutions for eliminating digital exclusion and fostering inclusivity in public services.
Villaggio dei colori
21 February 2024
We have started the journey for the creation of the Villaggio dei colori, a project awarded the participatory budget of the San Vitale District, aimed at creating spaces and interventions to improve community life. Together, we began to reflect on the communication objectives and on how to bring together many ideas and different realities into a single image and logo, which exhaustively tells the story of their rich diversity.

For Generali, we designed and facilitated a very short and intense creative workshop, helping participants of a corporate meeting to reflect on the past year through drawings, words, and objects, to build a vision of the desired future. The activity, which involved about 200 people for approximately 2 hours, helped to tell important stories through the creativity of its protagonists.

Gener-Azione Goals is a participatory educational program aimed at high school students focusing on the themes of sustainability and the 2030 Agenda, aiming to encourage young generations to take action towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. We supported the Slow Food Alimentae community in the writing, coordination, and implementation of the project, also conducting various scribing activities at events held at MUG Bologna. In March, the experience will conclude with a hackathon where participants will work on training projects to be held in schools with a peer-to-peer approach.
16 posters for “Se dici Bio”
30 October 2023
“Se dici Bio” is a project by Alce Nero that aims to portray the world of organic products with a fresh and innovative approach. This project was realized through the collaboration of members, processors, agronomists, and colleagues at Alce Nero. It documented the harvesting and production activities from 2021 to 2023. We designed and printed 16 posters, which were presented alongside the 16 monographs produced by the company, each one was dedicated to a product or to the philosophy of Alce Nero. These posters were used during the presentation of the project and were also wall displayed as decorative elements. We also hand-decorated a tablecloth for the even, a special way to communicate the principles and values of the Alce Nero company.
Three-day workshop for MSF
15 September 2023
We designed and facilitated a three-day workshop for MSF in Amsterdam, welcoming its financial directors from all over the world. The main goals were to reconnect in person after a few years of distance, assess the present situation, learn from each others’ best practices and start designing the future of the organization. The workshop helped the participants to clarify priorities, highlighting the needs and changes to be made in order to make this unique and generous humanitarian organization even more sustainable and efficient.
Scribing for the Fondazione Yunus
4 August 2023
Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner, is the creator and implementer of “microcredit”, a loan system for entrepreneurs who are too poor to obtain credit from traditional banking circuits. In June 2023, the Yunus Foundation organized the first “Italian Social Business Day” in Bologna to introduce the spirit of initiative “for a World with Three Zeros: Zero Poverty, Zero Unemployment, Zero Pollution”. The themes of the day were dedicated to the social and environmental challenges intertwined with business activities in our country and in the city of Bologna. Housatonic has participated facilitating the understanding of the themes and gathering ideas through a series of visualizations created in real time.
