Making the change

Context
ActionAid is an independent international organization that has been working in Italy since 1989, with sponsorships programs and projects to support children, women and families in the communities where it operates. We got in touch with the team to design a video animation to explain to current and potential supporters how children sponsorships work.

Process
We had many brainstorming sessions with the work team to find the right way to portray the care that distinguishes ActionAid’s work. The goal was also to communicate the authenticity of the bond that is built during the sponsoring process, assisted by the the direct and ongoing support of the team in the field.

Solution
A delicate and light video animation, which uses a poetic narrative and a metaphorical style to explain the sponsoring path. We used a soft and decisive color palette, with two dominant colors to distinguish the two worlds, the supporter and the child, which meet and merge, accompanied by the custom-composed soundtrack by Mushroom Sound.
