Multiple Sclerosis: A Puzzle of Symptoms

Context
We collaborated with AISM (Italian Multiple Sclerosis Society) to develop a series of short videos about MS symptoms.
The clips aim to give clear and concise information to newly diagnosed people and their loved ones, to help them navigate the multitude and variety of symptoms that characterize MS.

Process
Multiple Sclerosis is characterized by complex and very subjective symptoms. Starting from this reflection, we identified the “puzzle” as the main theme of the series: a sliding table where each tile/symptom, once moved, defines a new overall scenario of the illness.
We then translated each symptom (even the most hidden and difficult ones) using a visual metaphor, to aid understanding and to accompany medical information with effective images.

Solution
20 short videos to be shared on AISM social media and to be used as informative tools on the Association’s website. Each video synthesizes the most important information related to a symptom, its psychological implication on everyday life, and what treatments are available in order to achieve a good quality of life.
