Working on a shared vision

Context
Manifattura Tabacchi brought together associations linked to the renewal of Parco delle Cascine, from those interested to the safeguard of the environment to those organizing events and concerts. They all worked on a shared vision of the possible development of the area on the occasion of the Many Possible Cities festival, the annual event discussing the future of cities, with a particular focus on Florence.

Process
We planned the afternoon work with MT, from the agenda and the activities aimed at putting in contact the participants and making them work together, to the selection of expectations and final objectives of the workshop. We then transformed the location into a safe space for participants to share their thoughts in plenary and plan next steps, both individually and in teams.

Solution
We supported the plenary conversations, guiding them and visualizing them on panels, to give participants a synthesis of the contents on which they could further elaborate. The different design modules helped individuals and teams identify recurring themes and possible solutions, encouraging dialogue and networking. Participants collaborated with the shared goal of looking at the future of the park as a whole entity connected to the city.
