Biodiversity and food for our planet’s future
Context
Slow Food has been working for over 30 years to share the culture of a good, clean and fair food, emphasizing the importance of biodiversity in agriculture, food consumption and environment’s preservation. Their many activities (vegetable gardens, local markets, meetings, school training, events) led up to the bi-annual event Terra Madre, that this year happened mainly online, involving local and international guests in a rich and varied experience.
Process
As official Slow Food supporters, we have an ongoing collaboration with them: we worked with them to address strategic decisions, especially related to communication. We partnered on events and training sessions and, up until Covid19, we have been designing the overall concept of Terra Madre 2020. As soon as the event moved online we started to brainstorm and organize a digital experience to keep participants engaged, communicate clearly and in a synthetic way and imagine the event’s flow to tell the story as a whole.
Solution
Apart from supporting all Terra Madre forums with graphic facilitation and taking care of training sessions for schools, with visuals thought for a younger public, we designed and realized an animation that explains what Slow Food is and how to support the movement. We also prepared a series of communication collaterals to be used both online and in person.
