Context
Il Passo della Barca, the first example of its kind in Bologna, is a social enterprise cooperative of men and women who share a project of urban, economic, and social regeneration, based on the enhancement of the Barca neighborhood and its surrounding area. The group of founding members asked us to help them create a logo and a brand identity that would convey the spirit of the project and help communicate it through different channels, events and initiatives.

Process
We worked on the core values of the Cooperative: the concept of community, sociality and union. We imagined together new maps of the neighborhood that were not based on the geographies of its streets, but rather on the history and values represented, trying to develop an identity that spoke of manual skills, modularity and dynamism, which could easily welcome other contributions from near and distant realities.

Solution
A liquid logo adapted to the many different activities and ideas, from the newsstand, symbol of the reconquest of the community territory, to the nearby streets and neighborhoods, creating a network of actions and participation. The colors recall the classic Bolognese walls and the color of the lawns that enrich the neighborhood. Over time, we continue to develop communication and promotional materials, always combining the lightness of the manual gesture and the dynamism of the evolving structures.
